Revoke Token Authority
Permanently give up control your buyers worry about: minting more supply, freezing wallets, and changing the token. Each revoke is a signed, on-chain trust signal anyone can verify.
What this does: a brand-new token leaves you holding three powers - mint authority (create more tokens), freeze authority (freeze holder wallets), and update authority (change the name, symbol or image). Revoking them removes those powers for good, which is exactly what serious buyers check for before they ape in.
This is irreversible. Once an authority is revoked you can never get it back. New to this? Read the revoke authority guide first.
Connect your wallet to begin
Use the Connect Wallet button in the header. You must connect with the wallet that currently holds the authority you want to revoke.
Choose your token
Pick a token you created with this wallet, or paste any mint address. We read its live on-chain authorities so you only pay for what is actually still revocable.
Your tokens
Paste a token mint address manually
You must be the current authority on the token for the revoke to succeed.
The three authorities, and what revoking each one proves
Mint authority
Whoever holds it can create new tokens at any time, which dilutes every holder. Revoking it sets the mint authority to none on-chain, so the supply you launched with is the supply forever. Keep it only if your plan genuinely needs new supply later, such as staking rewards, and say so publicly.
Freeze authority
Whoever holds it can freeze any holder's token account so they cannot sell. It is the setting honeypot tokens rely on, so most buyers and scanners will not touch a token that still has it. Revoking it means no wallet can ever be frozen.
Update authority
This one belongs to the Metaplex metadata, not the token itself. Whoever holds it can change the name, symbol, logo and links. Revoking it makes the metadata immutable, which stops anyone rebranding the token after people have bought it. Check that your logo and links are right first, because they are locked from then on.
Checking it worked
On Solscan, a revoked mint or freeze authority shows as empty on the token's page, and revoked update authority shows the metadata as not mutable. Anyone can check this, which is the point: it turns "trust us" into something buyers can verify themselves. The free rug checker reads all three for any token.
